Soledad O'brien Defends Critical Race Theory While Attacking Joel Pollak

Breitbart editor Joel Pollak skillfully turns the tables on Soledad O’Brien's after her carefully orchestrated hit job went terribly wrong. Pollak makes an utter fool of the CNN anchor as she makes a garbled attempt to explain and defend Critical Race Theory.  Soledad rudely interrupts Mr. Pollak and lectures him, claiming that Critical Race Theory is not radical, then pounds away with: “I’m still trying to understand what the bombshell is.” Pollak's apropos response:
“The bombshell is happening right on this program where we have a story and you’re not interested in telling your viewers who Derek Bell is. You want to come in and obfuscate by telling me that I do not know what Critical Race Theory is.”

Over and over, the Harvard educated O'Brien refers to the “tenured Harvard Professor” as a way to elevate Derek Bell. Note that Joel Pollak is also a graduate of Harvard (Law School) but is treated by Soledad with all of the reverence that CNN affords to those knuckle dragging, "Tea Baggers" (term coined by fellow, fair minded CNN anchor Andersen Cooper).

But Critical Race Theory is not something that O’Brien should be defending. As J. Christian Adams explains.

Critical Race Theory, in a nutshell, argues that the law is a weapon of the majority whites to oppress “people of color.” It argues for “structural racism”--the idea that American institutions are aligned against blacks, whether the oppressor is the criminal justice system, a cabdriver without a fare, businesses, government, Domino's Pizza, banks, or the police.

Critical Race Theory does not view the law as applying equally to all Americans, but advocates for racially unfair implementation of the law to right past injustice.
