Creative Genius of Dave Brubeck

Freedom is the rallying call for those of us who oppose the social justice agenda. But lest we forget, freedom is not just the mother of productivity and wealth, but also of creativity. Jazz is truly one of the uniquely American forms of art, and the greatness of those who created it wasn't borne out of grants from the NEA or some master plan of elites. Jazz emerged spontaneously from the creative spark in the hearts of its performers and their love for their art—in a society that accepts and values individuality and change. So, in honor of April being Jazz Appreciation Month…here is Dave Brubeck’s classic, Take Five, performed in Belgium in 1964. Enjoy the show!

If I Wanted America to Fail

"If I Wanted America to Fail" is a powerful video about how the environmental agenda has been infected by extremism and has become an economic suicide pact. The video was created by FreeMarketAmerica.Org, an organization fighting to protect America against attempts to control individuals through de-industrialization and other wacko environmentalist policies that concentrate the power of the state. It's mission is...
"...to defend economic freedom against environmental extremism. Since the 1960s, environmental regulation has skyrocketed by over 7,000 percent! It’s a no-brainer that everyone wants clean water and clean air. But when it comes to environmental regulation, we’ve catapulted past commonsense."

Coke Partners With Communist Van Jones

Today's Wall Street Journal Op Ed reports on the pathetic appeasement of corporate America to socialist Van Jones and his Color of Change group. Color of Change has manufactured a campaign to portray the free market advocacy group, American Legislative Exchange Council (ALEC), as racist as a result of its support of voter ID laws. Preposterous and even laughable you say? Well this is no laughing matter. Corporate America is joining with the radicals.
"Color of Change and outfits like the Center for Media and Democracy are playing up the race angle because they know it has the most potential to spook big businesses. If they merely fought against tax cuts or school choice, the companies would ignore them. But if you shout "racism" in a crowded marketplace, most CEOs duck and cover.
And sure enough, Coca-Cola quickly announced it would stop its $25,000 donation to ALEC, saying in a statement that 'Our involvement with ALEC was focused on efforts to oppose discriminatory food and beverage taxes, not on issues that have no direct bearing on our business.' So Coke executives are happy to get ALEC's help in their self-interest but head for the tall grass when ALEC needs a friend. Read the full WSJ Op Ed here.
So here we have it. This revolutionary, leftist organization is calling the shots with Coke, as well as with other corporate progressives/appeasers such as Mars, Wendy's, Kraft and The Gates Foundation. Doubt that Van Jones and his Color of Change is radical? Perhaps you have seen Jones as a regular guest on CNN with Soledad O’Brien and thought he looked respectable enough. Listen to his own words and judge for yourself.

The Color of Change explicitly supports race- and gender-based preferences in government contracting, college admissions, and hiring/promotion policies.

Corporate Progressives Align with Van Jones Against Voter ID Laws

The Color of Change is pure Red, for its founder Van Jones—a self described Communist and former Obama Green Jobs Czar. The Group explicitly supports race- and gender-based preferences in government contracting, college admissions, and hiring/promotion policies. Astoundingly, this racist group has gotten the support of corporations such as McDonald's, Pepsi, Coca-Cola, Intuit, Kraft, Arby's, and Walgreens (more on that later).

After being exposed by Glenn Beck (see video below for one of many segments Beck ran on Jones) and subsequently fired by the Obama regime, Van Jones has been on a tirade to extinguish conservative speech and influence.

The Color of Change has campaigned hard to get advertisers to pull ads from the  Rush Limbaugh radio show. The group's latest effort is to get corporate America to kowtow to drop their sponsorships of the American Legislative Exchange Council (ALEC), a 40 year old association of state legislators whose mission is...
"to advance the Jeffersonian principles of free markets, limited government, federalism, and individual liberty."
ALEC's policy experts have successfully teamed with public officials and the private sector on crafting model state bills covering everything from education reform and health care to pensions, public safety and civil justice. ALEC stands for the very ideals that progressives and communists like Van Jones abhor.

So, the following shameful companies have aligned with the Communist VAN JONES to block any form of voter ID laws throughout America.
Please contact each of the companies and let them know that siding with Van Jones is not acceptable. Or, Re-tweet the following.

Update: As reported on Bill O'Reilly last night, Johnson & Johnson, Wal-Mart, AT&T
and State Farm Insurance all stuck with ALEC and refused to be kowtowed by the radical left.

Support them all.

Wisconsin: Ground Zero in the Battle of Liberty vs. Tyranny

Rush Limbaugh on the upcoming critical recall election of Scott Walker.
"In one corner stands Governor Scott Walker who stands with fiscal sanity, economic growth, jobs and a prosperorous state. In the other corner stands crony capitalism, back door deals, budget busting salary and wage packages...in other words the familiar stentch of economic ruin ...brought by the alliance of elected Democratic and to you be labor unions."

Corporate Progressivism: Arby's Aligns with Left and Fails

Note: This Blog Was Co-Published on Breitbart.com on 4/9/12

Corporate Progressivism—the use of corporate influence to promote the progressive agenda—is a powerful tactic used by the hard left to co-opt America’s corporate sector into submission to the left’s big government version of the common good.

Corporate progressivism takes many forms. There are extreme cases of crony capitalism such as the Obama regime’s transfer of billions of taxpayer dollars to progressive fantasy (i.e. scam) businesses like the bankrupt Solyndra or the bankrupt Solar Trust of America, whose businesses are often entwined with Obama campaign bundlers. Although largely ignored by the MSM, these cases at least make their way into the public consciousness.

Perhaps even more dangerous than these corporate crony boondoggles, is the accumulated impact of the many small acts of corporate progressivism that align big business with big government, a recipe for tyranny. One such example is Arby’s Restaurant, which, late in the game, decided to “drop” advertizing on the Rush Limbaugh show, even though Arby’s is not and has never been a national sponsor of Rush’s program. The attack on Rush was made via Twitter, a favorite tool of the activist left.

But is corporate progressivism really a good strategy, considering that self identified conservatives outnumber liberals by nearly 2 to 1? In terms of wealth and disposable, one has to assume that the advantage to conservatives is greater still.

Yes, we surround them—a fact that is both disguised by the overwhelming predominance of liberals within the media, and under appreciated by corporate America. An attack on Rush’s advertisers is an attack on conservative speech. When advertisers fold to leftist intimidation (or in Arby’s case, just pile on), they join the war on conservatism.

The good news is that it appears that the sleeping giant has awakened. Conservatives are fighting back, and may even begin to turn the tide in their favor. After receiving much criticism via Twitter, Arby’s followed its Rush attack by blocking Twitter users who disagreed with the franchise. This tactic, however, appears to have compounded Arby’s problems. Try searching Twitter for @Arbys and you will see the negative attention Arby’s is getting. By my count, those who are outraged by the company’s progressive stance outnumber the supporters of the Media Matters, manufactured attack on Rush by 20 to 1.

In desperation, Arby’s is trying to undo the damage by unblocking their Twitter followers but they cannot put the genie back in the bottle.  The bottom line is that, under the leadership of its President, Hala Moddelmog (former CEO of Susan G. Komen for the Cure and Democratic donor), Arby’s appears to have made a poor  business decision for its shareholders, employees, and customers by joining the activist left in opposing free speech.

Perhaps this fiasco will cause the next corporation to think twice about aligning itself with the manufactured, anti-conservative bullying of the radical left. You see, not only do conservatives eat fast food, we can also tweet, and will happily find alternative providers to progressive businesses that align themselves with the leftists like these dropped sponsors of Rush.  Note, if you are a business that would like to gain market share from any of these corporate progs, please contact me here at http://johngaltlist.blogspot.com.

NBC's False Report Against Zimmerman Incites Racial Violence

NBC edited the George Zimmerman 911 audio tape in order to falsely show that Zimmerman is a racist. Some say that the desire for ratings are behind NBC’s lie. More likely, it is a purposeful intent to incite racial division as part of President Obama's 2012 campaign strategy. Whatever the intent, racial division and threats of mob violence have been the actual result.

So serious is NBC’s misconduct that it may even expose the rogue network to legal liability, as was the case when the leftist network (along with CNN and ABC) falsely accused Richard Jewel of being the Atlanta Olympics bomber in the 1996.

Let's start with the actual version 911 audio:

Zimmerman: “This guy looks like he’s up to no good, or he’s on drugs or something. It’s raining and he’s just walking around, looking about.”

911 operator: “Okay. And this guy, is he white black or Hispanic?”

Zimmerman: “He looks black.”
Now, here is NBC's purposeful distortion:
Zimmerman: “This guy looks like he’s up to no good. He looks black.”
Here is the full Sean Hannity segment that exposed NBC's vicious lie (go to the 2:28 mark to see NBC reporter Ron Allen’s false report).
