Correcting Liberal Myths: America Is Not a Democracy

One of the left's most pernicious (and widely believed) myths, is that America is a democracy. It’s not. America is a Constitutional Republic. In fact, America’s founders did everything they could to keep us from having a democracy. In the Federalist Papers (number 10), James Madison, known as the father of the Constitution, wrote.
“Democracies have ever been spectacles of turbulence and contention; have ever been found incompatible with personal security or the rights of property; and have in general been as short in their lives as they have been violent in their deaths.”
This powerful, 10-minute video clearly demonstrates the difference between what the Democratic party and its elites and special interests champion—Democratic Rule—and what the founding fathers bestowed and the Tea Party movement is fighting for—a Constitutional Republic.

An excellent podcast that expands on the destructive myth of American Democracy can be found at the BasicsProject.org.

? Why do millions of people want to come to America, and no one wants to go to China or North Korea or Iran or ......

hint: It's our capitalism and our freedom that we enjoy because of our form of government which is often called democracy, but is technically a constitutional republic.

We do not invade helpless countries, we try to rescue them. Sometime we succeed. Like we did in Europe in the 40s and South Korea in the 50s and South Vietnam in the 70s before the Democratic Party controlled congress refused to honor our agreement supply defensive arms to South Vietnam after North Vietnam's surrender and our withdrawal. Thanks to the Democratic Party controlled congress, our soldiers died in vain and 3 million South Vietnamese and Cambodian civilians were slaughtered by the Viet Cong and the Khmer Rouge.

And sometimes we fail to act, like in the case of the hundreds of thousands that died in the machete massacres in Africa. Many people have died because did not impose our values on them.

    1. Most come here to escape the socialist repression of the old world. Some want to come here because of the broken welfare system that lets you stay on it for years without ever making you become responsible for yourself. Others come here because they want to turn our great republic...and America is a republic...not a democracy...into another socialist democracy. Wake up leftist...there is no socialist utopia and as long as man has wants/desires there can never be a socialist utopia unless it is enforced through the slaughter of millions....
